*(Betawi: a term for native citizen of Jakarta)
On my walk to the office today, I saw a convoy of motorbikes of people with green+black costumes, which I later found out was a convoy of Forum Betawi Rembug (FBR). This convoy was so annoying because these people were not obeying traffic regulation, and I’m sure they were also annoying other drivers.
1.These guys don’t give a jack’s ass about traffic lights, be it on red/yellow/green, they would go straight ahead. Not only this is violation of the law, but this also endangers other drivers or pedestrians.
2. None of these guys had their helmets on (which is against the law in Indonesia).
3. They were horning and honking their heads out… making so much noise, while waving their flags and banners around.
Other occasions, when you see a bunch of them on the streets, they look at you like they’re trying to pick a fight; or that you’ve done something wrong. Same as any other “stupid” (sorry) organization who enjoys vandalizing public property and people’s businesses.
So… someone please tell me… what really is the purpose of FBR? What VALUES do they uphold? And what good have they done for Jakarta?
Don’t get me wrong… I have a lot of respect for many Betawi citizen. It’s not the Betawi citizens I’m against, but this FBR thing really is just a lot of bullcrap.
Grow up. Please.

FBR equal to “fucking preman” :p
Jakarta ngga butuh mereka … basmi aja .. bumi hangus-kan kalo perlu … !!

that is so common in our beloved country.. The main problem is, we are very poor in law enforcement. Cops never did anything with those people. We are living in an un-order-ed society, everybody can act as their wish. So what can we do about it??
