Violence and Vandalism: The moslem way?
The news has been filled, recently, with moslem protests and demonstrations in reaction to cartoons of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, published in Danish media. Surely moslems are angry, I myself am furious after seeing the dreadful images/ cartoons. I personally CAN NOT understand how offending other people’s faith can be justified with the “freedom of expression” jargon. I believe that expressions involve responsibility. In fact, it should be termed as “RESPONSIBILITY FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION“. Therefore it is not absolute nor limitless. These cartoons are aimed merely to offend moslems. What other objective can it possibly have?
However angry the moslems are, I think that violent and brutal ways of protesting and demonstrations goes beyond the line. The moslems sure will react… but I think this is way too much. The burning and destruction of public places, vandalism does not do and will never do any good on the moslem’s part. How can anyone ever believe that Islam is a peaceful teaching, while we show such rage and uncontrollable anger.
I am sure that the cartoons are deliberately published to provoke the moslems. It’s up to each and every one of us, to react wisely… or get provoked and follow the blindman.
Stop the Violence.
Peace be upon us all.
