Relocating, Our Baby’s First Kick and Martin Scorcese
“Human beings, no matter where we go, what decisions we make, we will always feel angry, sad, happy, bored. Those are humanly feelings that are forever attached to us, regardless of the decisions we make” - Arida Permata
Tommorow will be my last day in this company. After working for 17 months, I have decided to rejoin my previous employer. I am planning to relocate Ashgabat, Turkmenistan along with my wife. I guess it’s the adventure that drove us to take this opportunity. At first I had doubts of whether it would be best for us; being far from our families and friends, living in a country with totally different language and culture. But what my wife said that night, somehow was the antidote of all the doubts I had that night.
This may be my last career maneuver, not only I am switching companies, I am also switching industries. Sometime soon, I will be back in that blue coverall, with commitment that I will give my best at what I do, and hope that it would be best for my family.
My wife is entering her 6th month of pregnancy, by the way; and she plans to deliver the baby in Ashgabat. Last night I felt, what we believed to be the baby’s first kick inside mommy’s tummy. It was a blast :)
Congratulations also to one of my favorite movie directors, Martin Luciano Scorcese, for winning 2007’s Oscar for Best Director. After (I think) 5 nominations, you finally did it! Way to go!! :)

Congratulations, mas Arief. for the career moving and baby kicking.
Don’t forget to tell us -your blog readers- about turkmenistan (I thought it was Tajikistan).. and the baby too.
